Now upright, Costa Concordia could be refloated by June

(ROME) — Crews are attaching additional flotation tanks, or sponsons, to Costa Concordia and the cruise ship could be refloated by June, Digital Journal reported. Franco Porcellacchia, the engineer overseeing the salvage, said he was "extremely confident" of the schedule to raise the ship from the underwater platform on which it now rests. Thirty-two people died when the ship ran aground off Giglio, Italy, on Jan. 13, 2012.
