(HALIFAX, Nova Scotia) — A new vessel being built at Halifax for Pearl Seas Cruises won’t be finished this year, the Chronicle Herald newspaper reported. The 214-passenger ship is now expected to be finished by early 2009 by Irving Shipbuilding Inc. Its previous scheduled completion date had been May 2008, so the Connecticut-based cruise line has cancelled autumn 2008 voyages.
