Navy OKs contract to build two more littoral combat ships at Marinette Marine

(WASHINGTON) — The U.S. Navy has approved allocating $698 million to build two more littoral combat ships at Marinette Marine Corp., the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported. The contract modification will allow the Marinette, Wis., shipbuilder to add 200 jobs. The two ships are part of a 10-ship contract approved in December 2010.
