(SAN DIEGO) — General Dynamics NASSCO has started construction of a third ECO tanker for American Petroleum Tankers, the Times of San Diego reported. Each of the five 50,000-ton vessels can carry 330,000 barrels or oil or be converted to transport liquefied natural gas. NASSCO began construction on the first tanker under the current contract in September 2014.
