Mustang Survival Moves To New Canadian Headquarters

September 22, 2010 (Richmond, BC) – Mustang Survival will be moving to its new Canadian headquarters in Burnaby, BC, in late October 2010. The new location, approximately 20 minutes away by car from its current location in Richmond, BC, will continue to be the headquarters for Mustang’s key operational divisions and Canadian manufacturing facility.
The relocation is part of Mustang’s long term strategic initiative to continue building its business as a competitive industry-leading researcher, designer and manufacturer of marine and aviation lifesaving equipment for recreational, professional and military users. In June 2009, Mustang also acquired an additional manufacturing facility in Spencer, West Virginia, close to its main US manufacturing plant in Elizabeth, West Virginia.
Mustang’s new 43,800 square feet headquarters will be located at 7525 Lowland Drive in Burnaby, BC, and will be home to its executive and key operation teams including Research & Product Development, Business Development, Sales & Marketing and Manufacturing. A state-of-the-art testing facility, including a pool specifically equipped for researching and testing the latest product prototypes and industry innovations, will also be at Mustang’s new location. Structured to provide the company with the capacity it needs to meet and maximize current business and manufacturing demands, the new facility also offers flexibility for future expansion as required by the company.
“For the last 30 years we’ve had many successes and made history here at our Richmond location,” said Bob Askew, Mustang’s President and CEO, “The decision to move our Canadian headquarters is a strategic step in bringing our key operations and manufacturing capabilities under one roof for increased collaboration, productivity and efficiency. We’re looking forward to continuing our success and reaching more milestones in our new Burnaby location.”
A plan to seamlessly transition Mustang’s current Richmond operations to its new location in Burnaby is already in place and North American operations will not be disrupted during the move transition.
