(MIAMI) — Maritime executives at an industry conference were divided Wednesday on who will win and who will lose when the Panama Canal is expanded, the Miami Herald reported. Opinions at the three-day TOC Container Supply Chain: Americas conference were split along geographic lines, with East Coast port officials seeing potential gains and their West Coast counterparts downplaying the development. The expanded canal will be ready to handle a new generation of large ships in 2015.
