(WASHINGTON) — The U.S. Maritime Administration (MarAd) announced Friday that the agency-supported U.S. Center for Maritime Innovation website is now live.
The center and its secretariat, the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), will promote the study, research, development, assessment and deployment of emerging marine technologies and practices related to the maritime transportation system. It will be critical for engaging industry, academia, government and other stakeholders in setting and executing multi-year research priorities that drive innovation in support of the priorities of the Trump administration’s Restoring America’s Maritime Dominance.
The website facilitates the dissemination of information and communication with the U.S. shipping community regarding activities associated with maritime innovation projects. It can be found here.
