Man illegally boards high-speed ferry, pilots it in circles

Victoria

(SEATTLE) — A man who told police that he "only wanted to go to West Seattle" was arrested Sunday after illegally boarding a Victoria Clipper ferry and taking it from its dock, the Seattle Times reported. The high-speed Clipper IV was reported drifting in Elliott Bay early Sunday morning, then proceeded to go in circles after law enforcement was notified and began closing in. A SWAT team later arrested Samuel K. McDonough, 33, who allegedly climbed a security fence on shore and gained access to the boat's wheelhouse.
