(LAFAYETTE, La.) — A man fell overboard from an offshore supply vessel in the Gulf of Mexico and is missing, WWL-TV’s Web site reported. The captain jumped into the water with a life ring to try to save him, but the man submerged and didn’t reappear. The incident happened early Sunday morning south of Lafayette.
