Maine shipyard wins contract to restore historic schooner

(BOOTHBAY HARBOR, Maine) — Boothbay Harbor Shipyard has been awarded a multimillion-dollar contract to rehabilitate the schooner Ernestina-Morrissey, the Bangor Daily News reported. The total project cost is estimated at $5 million to $6 million. The 165-foot schooner, a National Historic Landmark, was built at the James & Tarr shipyard in Essex, Mass., and launched in 1894.
