Maine Maritime announces ISM/ Auditor course

Maine Maritime Academy and Warsash Maritime Academy are pleased to announce the upcoming course ISM/ Auditor/ ISO/ Lead Auditor including ISO 14001 and ISPS which begins on October 26th and runs through October 30th at Maine Maritime Academy.
This five day course is designed to prepare practicing and potential auditors of international maritime safety management systems for the mandatory certification requirements of the ISM Code, ISO 9001, ISPS and ISO 14001 (environmental regulations).
The course is designed for marine safety professionals, ship owners, ship management specialists, and marine consultants  The course is delivered by a specialist supplier (Regs4ships) in collaboration with Maine Maritime’s UK training partner institution, Warsash Maritime Academy.
The Instructor, Mr. Nick Gladwell C.Eng, EUR Ing, B.Sc.(Hons), FIMarEST and MEI Consultancy Director, is an ex-flag state surveyor, MCA examiner, UK/MCA expert in Dangerous Goods and MARPOL who has conducted many ISO, ISM and ISPS audits. Mr. Gladwell is also the past Director of Survey and Safety for the Cayman Island Shipping Registry and consultancy team leader in Regs4ships role as the Recognized Organization (RO) for the Marshall Islands in the survey and certification of yachts and experts in flag and survey issues.
Students will leave with practical skills and knowledge of what constitutes a workable and proportionate safety and quality system. Successful students will receive a Warsash Maritime Academy certificate of completion and an MMA CEU certificate.  For more information contact conted@mma.com.
