(BEAUMONT, Texas) — About 1,000 pieces of U.S. military equipment are being loaded on M/V Cape Rise, destined for West Africa in the effort to stop the spread of the Ebola virus, KBTV Fox 4 reported. The ship, part of the U.S. Maritime Administration's Ready Reserve Force, will transport Humvees, dump trucks, forklifts and other support and construction equipment for Operation United Assistance.
