(LE HAVRE, France) — A tugboat managed to attach a towline and pull a heavily listing car carrier away from the coast of France on Monday, IOL.com reported. The Panamanian-registered Modern Express had been drifting since its crewmembers sent a distress signal last Tuesday and were evacuated. Attempts to tow the ship had failed until experts from SMIT Salvage were able to board it by helicopter as the vessel was buffeted by large waves.
