Largest tugboat ever built in U.S. visits Illinois River (PHOTO)

(OTTAWA, Ill.) — The Army Corps of Engineers flagship MV Mississippi visited the Illinois River for the first time, the Morris Daily Herald reported. The five-story tugboat is the largest tug ever built in the United States. The vessel, which usually stays in the lower Mississippi River, was open for tours.
