Similarly, Computerworld, a weekly publication specialising in information technology, named KVH Europe A/S the number one firm in production of IT hardware. “While the leisure marine market remains our largest market, our growth strategy is to penetrate and expand our presence in the commercial marine market. Part of this strategy is to move upwards in the value chain,” said Svend Lykke Larsen , managing director of KVH Europe A/S. “It is our goal to turn large commercial vessels into •offices’ on par with the onshore offices of the fleet operators by building on the capabilities of our global mini-VSAT Broadband sm satellite communications network and integrated TracPhone ® hardware. In doing so, we make it possible for ship owners and fleet operators to manage their vessels just like they do with any other department or division that is part of their corporation.” Børsen has ranked the top 200 IT companies in Denmark annually since 2004 in seven different categories. KVH Europe A/S was lauded for its proactive strategy to diversify the business and its ability to effectively combat the economic crisis through the expansion of their commercial business, achieved mainly through deployment of the TracPhone V7 satellite communications system and mini-VSAT Broadband network to commercial fleets. Computerworld released its list of the top 100 companies in Denmark in four fields, measured across four parameters. KVH was ranked number one in the hardware category after evaluation of its efficiency (measured in growth per employee, profit ratio, growth in turnover, and ROI) based on key figures from the latest annual accounts. “We are very pleased to be recognised by these two prestigious publications for our progress in the commercial market, and for the excellent quality and service that KVH is known for,” said Lykke Larsen. “It is an honor for KVH to be recognised internationally as a leader in mobile technology.”
