(TAMIL NADU, India) — An Indian court on Monday sentenced 35 mariners aboard a U.S.-operated anti-piracy ship to five years in jail for illegally entering Indian waters with weapons in 2013, the Daily Mail reported. The U.S. maritime security firm AdvanFort, which owns Seaman Guard Ohio, denied the charges against its crew, saying all firearms on board were legally purchased and properly documented. The ship's crew is composed of six Britons, three Ukrainians, 14 Estonians and 12 Indians.
