KIRKLAND, Wash. — Icom America is exhibiting new product at the 2014 Progressive® Insurance Miami Boat Show. From February 13-17, Icom will showcase a new VHF fixed mount radio and its popular IC-M400BB radio, which debuted at Miami last year. Icom’s display is located at Booth #1687 (Electronics room) at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Icom's new M506 Series radio will feature various functions such as integrated Automatic Identification System (AIS), NMEA 2000™ connectivity and rear mic capability (depending on version). “All M506 versions feature ‘Last Call’ recording, which automatically saves the last two minutes of an incoming call. Don’t miss a call again!” says David McLain, Icom America Nationals Sales Manager, Marine & Avionics. Additional features include active noise cancelling and an intuitive soft-key interface with large 132×96 pixels dot-matrix display. For more information on the radio, boat show attendees are encouraged to visit Icom's booth #1687.
Icom will also be exhibiting the IC-M400BB, a compact fixed mount radio. The M400BB comprises only an RF black box unit and a COMMANDMICIV™ remote control microphone. This streamlined configuration is perfect for owners of small boats and shipbuilders requiring a radio with a small physical footprint and flexible installation. Radio features include built-in Class D DSC, active noise cancelling and an intuitive user interface also found on Icom's newer marine radio models.
The 2014 Miami Boat Show takes place over 5 days at 3 Florida locations: the Miami Beach Convention Center; the New Powerboat and Yacht Show at Sea Isle Marina; and Strictly Sail® at Miamarina at Bayside.
