(CAPE BRETON, Nova Scotia) — A ferry that became stuck in thick sea ice is back in operation after assistance from a Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker, CBC News reported. MV Highlanders arrived in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland, late Tuesday night after being stranded a day earlier off Cape Breton with 190 passengers aboard. Louis S. St-Laurent, the largest icebreaker in the CGC's fleet, cleared a path for the ferry.
