(PORT EVERGLADES, Fla.) — In conjunction with the Seatrade Convention, Holland America Line’s “Dive-In” food truck will serve free signature hamburgers and hot dogs to cruise ship and other vessel crewmembers at Seafarers’ House to launch the line’s fundraiser for the local maritime charity.
The lunch truck will relocate to the Broward County Convention Center from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, March 15 and 16, to serve hamburgers, hot dogs and french fries to convention attendees for a $10 donation to raise funds for Seafarers’ House.
Holland America Line President Orlando Ashford and Seafarers’ House Executive Director Lesley Warrick will be on-site at 1:30 p.m.
Holland America Line has six ships sailing from Port Everglades on Caribbean cruises through the winter season.
Seafarers’ House at Port Everglades is open year-round as a place where mariners can connect to their families, buy supplies, relax and get emergency help, if needed.
Seafarers’ House is located at 1800 S.E. 32nd St. in Port Everglades. The Seatrade Convention is being held at the Broward County Convention Center on 1950 Eisenhower Blvd.
