Gulf rigs, La. oil port, bunkering shut down as Isaac approaches

(NEW ORLEANS) — Several oil companies have evacuated rigs in advance of Tropical Storm Isaac, energy markets news provider Platts reported on its website. The Louisiana Offshore Oil Port announced that it shut its marine operations as of this morning and will not accept tanker deliveries. Bunker operations at New Orleans and Houston also have been suspended.
