Great Lakes Dredge gets $17 million contract for West Coast work

(OAK BROOK, Ill.) — Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corp., the largest provider of dredging services in the United States and a major provider of environmental and infrastructure services, on Thursday announced the receipt of a $17 million award, with approximately $3 million in additional options, for the U.S. Corps of Engineers West Coast regional contract.

The scope of work includes dredging approximately 4 million cubic yards of material from the mouth of the Columbia River and upriver locations as well as the Humboldt Harbor entrance in Eureka, Calif. Work is expected to commence during the second quarter of this year and to be completed by the end of the year.
