Four injured when boat strikes construction barge in Massachusetts

(WORCESTER, Mass.) — Four boaters were injured, one critically, when their vessel slammed into a construction barge on Lake Quinsigamond early Wednesday morning, the Worcester Telegram reported. The barge, a crane and other equipment are being used in the construction of a new Kenneth F. Burns Memorial Bridge. Worcester police believe a safety light on the barge might have been out in the area where the boat hit the barge.
