(STURGEON BAY, Wis.) — A fire caused "extensive" damage Friday night to a dry-docked bulk carrier at Bay Shipbuilding, the Duluth News Tribune reported. A city official said the fire aboard Alpena, a 519-foot self-unloader, occurred near the stern just above the engine room. The cause has not been determined. Two shipyard workers and two firefighters who suffered smoke inhalation were treated and released from a local hospital.
