(PORTLAND, Maine) — The captain of a Casco Bay Lines ferry dove into Portland Harbor on Wednesday to rescue a man who had fallen off a dock, the Portland Press Herald reported. John Tracy, who has worked for the ferry company for 29 years, said he and several other employees heard someone yelling for help at about 1445 near the Maine State Pier. Tracy threw a life ring to the man, dove in and swam to him, with people on the dock then pulling both to safety.
