(ST. JOHN’S, Newfoundland) — The captain of a Newfoundland coastal ferry has been charged with violating the nation’s Shipping Act following a 2010 collision with a small boat, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported. The captain of the Puddister Trading’s Marine Voyager failed to post a proper lookout, Transport Canada said. The ferry struck a 5-meter open boat that was anchored near Burgeo.
