FedNav, MarAd among annual NAMEPA award winners

(SOUTHPORT, Conn.) — The North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA) will present the following awards Oct. 29 in New York as part of the group's annual conference:

• Corporate Marine Environment Protection Award — FedNav (accepting the award will be Marc Gagnon)
• Government Agency Marine Environment Protection Award — Maritime Administration (accepting the award will be Paul "Chip" Jaenichen)
• Individual Marine Environment Protection Award — Dave Barry/Jack Gallagher, Gallagher Marine Systems
• Association Marine Environment Protection Award — Alaska Maritime Prevention and Response Network (accepting the award will be Jim Butler)
• Financial Services Marine Environment Protection Award — Jefferies (accepting the award will be Jeff Pribor)
• Innovation Marine Environment Protection Award — Maritime Solutions Inc. (accepting the award will be Richard Fredricks)
• Product Marine Environment Protection Award — ORCA (accepting the award will be Sultan Riaz Khan)
• Educational Institution Marine Environment Protection Award — Massachusetts Maritime Academy (accepting the award will be Ian McLeod)
• Lifetime Achievement Marine Environment Protection Award — Chris Koch, World Shipping Council
