Edison Chouest to build 40 new supply vessels

(NEW ORLEANS) — Edison Chouest Offshore will build more than 40 new supply vessels to support increased oil and gas exploration in the Gulf of Mexico, the Arctic and Brazil, New Orleans City Business reported. The largest portion of the program will involve the construction of 17 diesel-electric platform supply vessels. The majority of the new work will be handled at the company's shipyards in Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida.
