(ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.) — Duckworth Steel Boats of Tarpon Springs has been chosen to build a $6 million research vessel for the Florida Institute of Oceanography, FloridaPolitics.com reported. The new 78-foot vessel will replace R/V Bellows, which has served the institute and its students for 46 years. Design work was completed by Boksa Marine Design in collaboration with the FIO Ship Advisory Committee.
