Diver repairs Lake Superior tugboat leak on winter’s coldest day

(DULUTH, Minn.) — Diver Peter Norvick was hired to repair a leaky tugboat on the coldest day of the winter, the Duluth television station WDIO reported. The 33-degree water in Lake Superior was much warmer than the air temperature. The dive took 30 minutes, and only his index finger got cold while he plugged a hole in the Edward H.
