(SQUAMISH, British Columbia) — An old derelict tugboat has sunk near the government dock in Squamish, B.C., spilling diesel fuel into the the waters of Mamquam Blind Channel, CBC News has learned.
Witnesses report a fuel slick can be seen on the water. There was nobody aboard the boat at the time of the sinking.
The coast guard and other officials are on the scene assessing the situation.
