(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) — The Army Corps of Engineers and other officials marked the dedication of the new McAlpine Locks and Dam, the Courier-Journal newspaper of Louisville reported. The new facility, which can handle a 15-barge tow, opened last month. Only Smithland Locks has twin lock chambers so large on the Ohio River.
