(RICHMOND, British Columbia) — The search-and-rescue vessel Steveston Lifeboat is "a mess" after being pulled from the Fraser River last weekend, the boat's captain told the Richmond Review. The 51-foot vessel was on a radar training exercise last Thursday when it struck a rock wall in high winds and began taking on water. Community help is being sought to defray the cost of repairs, which could top $250,000.
