The Coast Guard has released a time-lapse video of the cutter Bristol Bay backing and ramming on Lake Erie as it attempts to get into Ashtabula, Ohio, for fuel and other supplies on Feb. 18. The goal in backing and ramming is to create a wide path so the ice has somewhere to go and doesn't create a larger problem with the creation of brash ice. To view the video, click here.
