Cutter Alert undergoes makeover, will return to Astoria (PHOTOS)

(ASTORIA, Ore.) — The Coast Guard cutter Alert has undergone $7 million in repairs, the Daily Astorian newspaper reported. The makeover was done at the Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay, Md. The crew will embark the cutter again in December and it will return to its base at Astoria.
