Cruise line charged with gross negligence in deadly boiler blast

(MIAMI) — Norwegian Cruise Lines has been charged with gross negligence for the boiler explosion aboard the SS Norway in 2003, the Miami Herald reported. The company has agreed to plead guilty and is liable for $500,000 in criminal penalties, federal prosecutors said. The blast killed eight crew members and seriously injured 10 others in the Port of Miami.
