(WASHINGTON) — The U.S. Coast Guard is accepting applications to fill 19 vacancies on the National Navigation Safety Advisory Committee. This is a great opportunity for passionate individuals who want to make an impact on the future of maritime navigation safety.
The application deadline in the notice published in the Federal Register on Aug. 29 has been extended. Applications are due on or before Oct. 31.
The National Navigation Safety Advisory Committee is a federal advisory committee. The committee was authorized on Dec. 4, 2018, by Section 601 of the Frank LoBiondo Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2018 and is codified in 46 U.S.C. 15107. The committee operates under the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act and 46 U.S.C. 15109.
