Coast Guard museum receives $4 million in pledges

(HOUSTON) — The National Coast Guard Museum Association announced more than $4 million in pledges Thursday night during an event held here, The Day of New London, Conn., reported. The pledges included $1 million from James David Power III, who along with George H.W. Bush and Arnold Palmer hosted a screening of the "The Finest Hours" at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The museum association is working to raise funds for a proposed $100 million facility in downtown New London.
