(DE TOUR VILLAGE, Mich.) — A Canadian bulk carrier that grounded in the St. Marys River last week was outside the marked shipping channel, MLive.com reported. Coast Guard investigators said the 603-foot Mississagi passed a shoal buoy on its port side rather than its starboard side. The ship was refloated four days later after offloading about 2,000 tons of its stone cargo.
