(PENOBSCOT BAY, Maine) — The 70-foot charter yacht Archangel, under full sail on Aug. 7 with eight people aboard, ran aground on East Goose Rock and dismasted, the Penobscot Bay Pilot reported. The Coast Guard is investigating the incident, which occurred in early afternoon under clear skies. The fiberglass boat, homeported in Newport, R.I., was built two years ago and is valued at $2.4 million.
