Carnival cruise ship breaks loose from mooring, has anchor problem

(PORT CANAVERAL, Fla.) — The cruise ship Carnival Pride broke free from its moorings during an 85 mph wind gust, USA Today reported on its Cruise Log blog. The vessel was quickly re-berthed but its departure was delayed by a half-day. The company said the anchor retrieval equipment malfunctioned after the incident.
