Canadian city hires tugboat to control ice-related flooding

(BELLEVILLE, Ontario) — The city has hired a tugboat to help control ice-related flooding, The Intelligencer newspaper of Belleville reported. So-called “frazil” ice collects at the mouth of the Moira River, causing the water level to rise. The vessel A.L. Killaly will be stationed in the area to break the ice.
