Calif. officials to sue MarAd over reserve fleet contamination

(VALLEJO, Calif.) — The San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Board intends to sue the U.S. Maritime Administration over contamination from the reserve fleet vessels, the Times- Herald newspaper reported. About 70 decaying vessels are moored in Suisun Bay. After a period of negotiations, the water board has officially given the Maritime Administration 60 days notice that it now intends to sue.
