Burger Boat launches new Chicago tour boat Lucia

(MANITOWAC, Wis.) — Burger Boat Company is pleased to announce the launch of LUCIA, an 89' steel passenger vessel for Wendella Sightseeing Company, Inc.
 
LUCIA, designed by Timothy Graul Marine Design of Sturgeon Bay, WI, was launched into the Manitowoc River Friday, May 29, 2015 with her Owners, the Burger staff and the Manitowoc community in attendance.

 

LUCIA is styled after other vessels in Wendella's fleet and will be used for their signature Combined Lake and River Tour, the Chicago River Architecture Tour, specialty cruises and private events. The vessel features an enclosed climate controlled main deck cabin where guests will find a striking black granite bar and room for socializing. The upper deck provides ample space for guests to mingle and enjoy views of Chicago's magnificent skyline. With a capacity of 340 guests, the vessel will be a valued addition to the Wendella fleet.
 
Built by Burger Boat Company of Manitowoc, WI, LUCIA is certified USCG Subchapter K and is powered by two (2) Caterpillar C12 main engines and has two (2) Northern Lights generators.
