Bulk carrier crashes into B.C. coal terminal causeway, conveyor

(VANCOUVER, British Columbia) — A bulk carrier crashed into and severely damaged facilities at the Westshore Terminals coal port, the Vancouver Sun reported. The Cape Apricot slammed into a causeway and took out a conveyor system and roadway, plus utility links, and then coal spilled into the water. The accident will decrease capacity at North America's largest coal-export terminal for an undetermined period of time.
