(PITTSBURG, Calif.) — Brusco Tug & Barge has pleaded guilty to federal pollution charges related to illegal dumping of dredge spoils near here, the Contra Costa Times newspaper reported. In a settlement, the Washington-based company agreed to pay a $750,000 fine and an additional $250,000 toward environmental programs. Brusco’s general manager for Northern California also was indicted.
