(NEW ORLEANS) — Bouchard Transportation and four ancillary corporations are suing Mississippi shipbuilder VT Halter Marine, alleging faulty construction of an ATB barge, the Louisiana Record reported. The plaintiffs allege that in June 2015, cargo contamination problems on barge B No. 272 caused significant damage and loss of profits. The suit cites the improper design and construction of valves and improperly manufactured piping.
