(WARREN, R.I.) — Rhode Island Fast Ferry has announced the launch of its new offshore-wind crew transfer vessel. On its Facebook page, the company wrote: "(On Feb. 10) the workboat was lowered down the railway at low tide and left to wait for the high tide to roll in and float it over to the dock. The large mast was installed the following day so now the shipyard can begin to do the final electronic connections. Next up is interior finish, seats installed, AV system, TVs, final electronics connections, Palfinger crane installed, USCG lifesaving equipment, then startup and weeks of sea trials. (Equipment provided by) MAN Engines, HamiltonJet, KVH, Imtra Corp., Cummins Power Generation, Palfinger."

The vessel is scheduled to begin service to Deepwater Wind's Block Island project this spring.
