(VICTORIA, British Columbia) — BC Ferries' Queen of Burnaby is up for auction, soon to be replaced by a new ferry that operates on liquefied natural gas, CBC News reported. Bidding for the 52-year-old vessel, which will make its last run at the end of March, opens at $400,000. The 904-passenger ship has several lounges and cafeterias as well as a gift shop. Last summer, it was hampered by mechanical problems that limited its use in adverse wind and weather. The auction closes at noon (Pacific) on Feb. 15.
