(HOUMA, La.) — A barge captain drowned Saturday after falling from a small boat to which he had transferred, the Houma Courier reported. Co-workers said the boat got stuck in the mud in a remote Terrebonne Parish bayou and the man fell out while trying to repair the vessel. The workers called the local sheriff's department at 1 a.m. to report him missing.
