The 100-guest American Glory, American Cruise Lines’ newest Coastal Cat, is operating on the company’s new ‘Florida Gulf Coast and Keys’ itinerary and will sail on various itineraries to destinations along the U.S. East Coast throughout this year.

Built at Chesapeake Shipbuilding’s yard in Salisbury, Md., the new vessel passed trials “with flying colors,” and is the second of 12 Coastal Cats which debuted in August 2023 with the launch of American Eagle, according to ACL.

The vessel features four decks and interior highlights designed by Miami-based Studio DADO that include spacious staterooms and suites with private balconies, indoor and outdoor lounges, a main restaurant, a casual café, a fitness center, and a spacious top deck.

Fitted with a catamaran bow, American Glory will be joined by the identical American Liberty and American Legend later this year.

All Coastal Cats, the company said, feature main engines and generators that are at Tier 3 Environmental Protection Agency emissions compliant.

American Cruise Lines also launched a new riverboat, American Serenade, last year as part of its aim to “sail an expanding array of 100 percent U.S. itineraries along both rivers and coasts,” according to Charles B. Robertson, president and CEO of American Cruise Lines.

The addition of American Glory to the company’s fleet, he said, “furthers our commitment to building new small ships for America’s rivers and coasts.”
